Where is the love? According to this list, it's not in Duluth

News Tribune staff, Duluth News Tribune

What does Duluth have in common with Beaverton, Ore., and Bethlehem, Pa.? According to the social networking website Foursquare, none of the above is romantic. Despite the vistas and primo hand-holding locations, Duluth was named No. 9 on Foursquare’s least romantic list.

Most romantic, according to the creators of the app that allows users to “check in” at destinations like restaurants, bars, theaters and stores: Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Foursquare took its super-scientific results from 1.5 billion user check-ins with weight given to those that occurred at flower shops, lingerie shops, jewelry stores and French restaurants.

We didn’t stand a chance. We don’t even have a French restaurant.

Do you disagree?

Do you believe cold hands equal warm hearts? How do you think Duluth fares on the romance-o-meter?
